On May 24th, the Guggenheim Young Collectors Council Party took over the museum again in 2023, as part of the LG Guggenheim Art and Technology Initiative. This multi-year initiative is a five-year program which was launched in 2022 to research and promote artists working at the intersection between art and technology.
Throughout the night of May 24th, young art collectors and enthusiasts from around the world gathered to enjoy the digital paradise directed by the collaborating artist of the year, Farah Al Qasimi.
Farah’s designed ‘Backdrop’ and Transparent OLED blend into the party concept, creating a scene from a sci-fi movie. Following last year, the photo booth decorated with large Transparent OLEDs was definitely a popular attraction of the YCC Party, and the vertical Transparent OLED also lit up the DJ booth.
Guests explored the LG OLED lounge where they celebrated the artist collaboration supported by LG OLED(@lg_oledart) on the world’s largest 97 inch OLED TV, and LG's lifestyle TV, Posé.
