From September 3 to 6, 2025, LG OLED participated as the official Headline Partner of Frieze Seoul 2025, held at COEX. At this year’s fair, LG OLED presented a special exhibition that reinterpreted Park Seo-Bo’s iconic Écriture (Myobop) series through media art, brought to life with the perfect light of LG OLED.
[Colors Drawn from Nature]
In the accelerating tide of digital technology, Park Seo-Bo discovered profound meaning in nature’s colors. One autumn day, before a mountain glowing with maple leaves, he felt their overwhelming beauty and the power to heal. From the red of autumn leaves to the yellow of canola, the green of grass, the black of soot, and unbleached white—these colors drawn from nature became his language, holding his memories and philosophy.
This exhibition presents Park Seo-Bo’s nature-inspired palette through the perfect light of LG OLED. Millions of self-lit pixels render vivid hues, perfect blacks, and delicate tones, reviving the purest colors he once borrowed from nature for today’s sensibilities. Here, where nature meets technology and art engages the senses, color comes alive once again.
In particular, the exhibition featured a new media artwork that reconstructed Park Seo-bo’s perception of color through AI analysis of natural image data. This digital reinterpretation was displayed side by side with the original works on LG OLED, blurring the boundaries between artwork and product. The showcase was praised for fusing art and technology to reimagine the artist’s sensibility in a new dimension.
